The case Catalogue in, store-ready out

Most catalogues ship soft mobile shots, missing lifestyle frames, and blank alt text. Volume is the constraint: reshoots are slow, stock looks stock.

One pipeline, start to finish.

02

Generate & QA

On-brand variants batched by the hundred, checked before release.

03

Publish & measure

Pushes to Shopify or Etsy with metadata, tracks conversion lift.

Worked example A mail-entry plate

A small mail-supplies store lists a low-consideration item (a letterbox entry plate, or a padded mailer) with a single flat photo on white. Click-through is fine, but the product page converts weakly: buyers can’t read scale, material finish, or how it looks once installed.

  • Add contextual lifestyle shots: the plate mounted on a real door, the mailer beside a hand or ruler for scale.
  • Polish the hero image for sharpness and fast mobile load.
  • Tag proper alt text and image metadata for SEO discoverability.
  • Round the gallery out to 4–6 images instead of one.

visibility in Google Image Search once metadata and alt text are tagged

Illustrative figures, in line with e-commerce imagery research (Baymard, Etsy, Google/Deloitte). Melon Tree is a Syrup Lab proof of concept, so these are representative, not client results.

For a low-consideration item, most of the buying decision happens visually in the gallery. Context and scale images remove the two biggest hesitations, “will this fit?” and “what does it look like installed?”, without touching price or copy.
