Short version: we collect what you give us to reply to you, we don’t sell it, and you can ask for it back.

We process personal information under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). If you’re in the EU or UK, the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, and we honour the equivalent rights.
What we collect, and why.
- The idea form: your email address and whatever you write, so we can reply. Delivered to us by Web3Forms.
- Booking a call: your name, email, company, and your answers to the booking questions, so the call is useful. Processed by Cal.com, with the meeting on Google Meet and the booking in Google Calendar.
- Email: anything you send to hello@poursyrup.ai, routed through Cloudflare Email Routing to our inbox.
- Analytics: aggregate, cookieless page statistics through Cloudflare Web Analytics. We can’t identify you from it and don’t try.
- Cookies: this site sets none itself. The embedded Cal.com booking widget sets strictly functional cookies of its own when you open it.
What we don’t do. We don’t sell personal information. We don’t run advertising or tracking pixels. We don’t use what you send us to train AI models. We don’t process special personal information or children’s data, and we don’t want it in the idea form.
Where it goes. The services above run on infrastructure in the United States and elsewhere outside South Africa. We use providers that commit to recognised data-protection standards in their terms, and we send them only what the purpose needs. The full list is on the subprocessors page.
How long we keep it. Enquiries and booking records: as long as the conversation is live, then up to 24 months in our inbox and calendar history. If we work together, engagement records follow the retention terms of the signed agreement and tax law.
Your rights. Ask what we hold about you, ask for corrections, ask for deletion, or object to processing: hello@poursyrup.ai, and we respond within a reasonable time, at most 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za) or, for EU or UK matters, your local supervisory authority.
Changes. Material changes appear here with a new date. We won’t quietly repurpose your data.
